Dr Oliver Woo

Executive Committee IAOMC, Private Practice Optometrist


Dr Woo graduated from School of Optometry, University of New South Wales, Australia in 1994 and established an independent Optometrist practice in Sydney, Australia since 1997. In 2007, he has become first Australian fellow of International Academy of Orthokeratology (FIAO) and mentor. Dr Woo has special interest in paediatric optometry, myopia prevention and control contact lens fitting: Orthokeratology and specialty contact lenses. He opened an Orthokeratology and Myopic Control Clinic in 2010. Dr Woo uses and provides variety methods in myopic management.

 Dr Woo has been actively participating in the continuing education conference of the IAOA (International Academy of Orthokeratology Asian Branch) as an instructor and mentor for FIAO of Chinese ophthalmologist as well as in many local and international optometry and ophthalmology conferences and as lecturers and mentors. Dr Woo is the Board of Director of Oceania Society of Orthokeratology (Australia and New Zealand) since 2014 till now. He was the FIAO Section Chairman (Oceania – Australia and New Zealand), Senior Member Examination Chair and Examiner since 2014-2017. He is the FIAO Executive Committee since 2017 till now.

Mr. Tan Thok Chuan

B.App Science (OPTOMETRY) QUT, Australia


Graduated as Bachelor of Applied Science (OPTOMETRY) in 1993 from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. Mr. Tan came back to Malaysia in 1994 to begin his career as private practitioner.  He has been actively fitting orthokeratology and specialty contact lenses for more than 20 years since he first started his own Primary Eye Care practice in 1998. In 2012, he established a second private practice in Penang Island which specializes in Pediatric Optometry, Binocular Vision, Myopia Control and infant contact lens fittings.  Mr. Tan has been actively serving The Association of Malaysian Optometrists (AMO) for the past 16 Years and was elected as President in 2008 for two terms. After finished his term as AMO President in 2012, he was then elected as Committee Member in the Asia Pacific Council of Optometry (APCO) for 2 years. Then In 2014, he was elected as Member of the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC) and has been dedicated the task to sit in the new Optical Act Drafting Committee.
