6. CONTENT OF PHOTO NAME CERTIFICATE
The Photo Name Certificate will be divided into three major
groups of practitioners.
The first group is the Registered Optometrist whereby the
practitioners under this
group will be allowed automatically without any permit to
prescribe and dispense
contact lenses on top of the normal prescription glasses (ophthalmic
lenses) as in the
first slide of the presentation. The second group is the Registered
Optician
(Juruoptik) with Contact Lens Permit whereby these practitioners
are allowed to
practice contact lenses as well as the ophthalmic lenses as
in the second slide. These
two groups are so-called the approved 'Contact Lens Practitioners'.
Finally, the third
group is the Registered Optician (Juruoptik) without Contact
Lens Permit as in
the last presentation slide. As the name suggest, this last
group are only allowed to
prescribe and dispense the ophthalmic lenses. |
